Sky Google Earths Cosmic Feature
Stargazers have a wealth of tools at hand to assist in sky observations. One of those helpers is Google Earth, one of the most used apps on the planet. Its astronomy component is calledà Google Sky, which shows the stars, planets, and galaxies as seen from Earth. The app is available for most flavors of computer operating systems and is easily accessible via a browser interface. About Google Sky Think of Google Sky on Google Earth as a virtual telescope that lets the user float through the cosmos at any pace. It can be used to view and navigate through hundreds of millions of individual stars and galaxies, explore the planets, and much more. High-resolution imagery and informative overlays create a unique playground for visualizing and learning about space. The interface and navigation are similar to that of standard Google Earth steering, including dragging, zooming, search, My Places, and layer selection.à Google Sky Layers The data on Google Sky is arranged in layers that can be used depending on where the user wants to go. The constellations layer shows the constellation patterns and their labels. For amateur stargazers, the backyard astronomy layer lets them click through a variety of placemarks and information on stars, galaxies, and nebulae visible to the eye, as well as binoculars and small telescopes. Most observers love to look at planets through their telescopes, and the Google Sky app gives them information where those objects can be found. As most astronomy fans know, many professional observatories give very detailed, high-resolution views of the cosmos. The featured observatories layer contains imagery from some of the worlds most famous and productive observatories. Included are theà Hubble Space Telescope, the Spitzer Space Telescope, the Chandra X-Ray Observatory, and many others. Each of the images is located on the star map according to its coordinates, and users can zoom into each view to get more details. Images from these observatories range across the electromagnetic spectrum and show how objects look in many wavelengths of light. For example, galaxies may be seen in both visible and infrared light, as well as ultraviolet wavelengths and radio frequencies. Each part of the spectrum reveals an otherwise hidden side of the object being studied and gives details invisible to the naked eye.à The our solar system layer contains images and data about the Sun, Moon, and planets. Images from spacecraft and ground-based observatories give users a sense of being there and include images from lunar and Mars rovers, as well as outer solar system explorers. The education center layer is popular with teachers, and contains teachable lessons about the sky, including the Users Guide to the Galaxies, plus a virtual tourism layer and the popular Life of a Star.à Finally, historical star maps provides views of the cosmos that previous generations of astronomers had using their eyes and early instruments.à To Get and Access Google Sky Getting Google Sky is as easy as a download from theà onlineà site. Then, once its installed, users simply look for a ââ¬â¹dropdown box at the top of the window that looks like a little planet with a ring around it. Its a great and free tool for astronomy learning. The virtual community shares data, images, and lesson plans, and the app can also be used in a browser.à Google Sky Particularsà Objects in Google Sky are clickable, which allows users to explore them up close or from a distance, Each click reveals data about the objects position, characteristics, history, and much more. The best way to learn the app is to click on the Touring Sky box in the left column under Welcome to Sky.à Sky was created by Googles Pittsburgh engineering team by stitching together imagery from numerous scientific third parties, including the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI), the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS), the Digital Sky Survey Consortium (DSSC), CalTechs Palomar Observatory, the United Kingdom Astronomy Technology Centre (UK ATC), and the Anglo-Australian Observatory (AAO). The initiative was born out of the University of Washingtons participation in the Google Visiting Faculty Program. Google and its partners continually update the app with new data and images. Educators and public outreach professionals also contribute to the apps ongoing development.à Edited and updated by Carolyn Collins Petersen.

The Teenage Experiences - Free Essay Example
Sample details Pages: 2 Words: 573 Downloads: 7 Date added: 2018/12/17 Category Literature Essay Type Book review Level High school Tags: Teenager Essay Did you like this example? Human beings start their lives in childhood and proceed to develop into adults. In the childhood stage of life, individuals engage in activities that have child orientation. They tend to be shy, and mixing with other people is a little bit challenging. It happens so if the people with whom they intend to socialize are older than them. In the short story Girls at Play, Celeste Ng illustrates the transformation of life from childhood using four main characters. The story communicates that coming-of-age is a gradual process, where the individual transforms both in the body and personality. The girls are in the upper grade of education, and past thirteen years. At this stage, they know how to play around and socialize with the learners of the opposite sex. They have colors which imply different actions. For instance, Ng states pink means kissing, red means tongue; green means up your shirt, blue means down his pants. (pg1). They use the colors to communicate the course of action, something that is quite difficult for young kids. It is a clear indication that the girls are coming-of-age. Grace, their new friend, is also coming-of-age. Once she complained of a stomach problem, the bigger girls knew she was approaching her menses, and they taught her to use sanitary pads. Ng writes didnt someone explain? An aunt, the health teacher, someone? (p5) These questions were a clear indication that Grace knew nothing about menses, but she is now learning about it practically. The broader idea of this short story is criticism. The three girls criticized their friend Grace for her looks. Ng states, From all the way across the blacktop we can see that everything about her was wrong. (p2). This statement comes from the three girls, referring to Grace who in their opinion looked inexperienced and out of place. They criticize her dressing code, claiming that the shirt she wears is not proportional to her small body size. Her standing posture is a laughing matter to them. Ng writes, Even the way she stands is wrong, hands clasped behind her back. They feel that all these things happen because she does not have the experience of a grown-up girl. They even go an extra mile to criticize the work that she does and try to picture him with his full work attire. The characters in the story remind me of my teen years. From the age of thirteen years, my friends and I always felt some sense of heroism, based on the fact that we felt like adults. The same case happens to Grace, whose interaction with the other girls opens her eyes and mind to the teenage life. Ng states Each of us steals something, to show her how. (p4). The girls are training Grace to steal items from the drugstore, and how to hide them in their bodies to avoid any possible searches. Later, they train her playing the game they play with the boys, and they do not follow up what happens between her and the boys when they leave her with them at the flagpole. We turn away then, and close our e yes so that we never know if Grace follows them to the bleachers or not. (p6) It reminds me of the things we used to do during our teenage years, and some of us had to learn it the hard way. The experiences opened our eyes to see more new things. Donââ¬â¢t waste time! Organizational Competencies and Dynamic Accounting â⬠Free Samples
Question: Discuss about the Organizational Competencies and Dynamic Accounting. Answer: Introduction Accounting information is looked upon as one of the essential economic data for a business entity. It directly reveals and administers the business scenario of an organization and thereby provides a key foundation for the purpose of undertaking business and management decisions (Kong, 2017). Hence, it is essential to ascertain the efficiency of the overall accounting system technique. This report would summarize the outputs, participants and inputs of the case. Thereafter, the present business mechanism framework would be provided and the report will summarise the existing strengths and weaknesses that are available within the present accounting system. At the end, the new and the advanced business evaluation framework will be summarised and the associated weaknesses and strengths will be addressed. Ismail, King (2014) constructed a framework of cognitive implementation to the modifications in the accounting information system and even examined the hypothesis regarding whether entities implement their decision making system in order to make transformations in the accounting information system, which is ascertained by the interface of the tasks, precise knowledge, cognitive capability and influences in order to make suitable decisions. Khairi, Baridwan (2015) undertook a study on the examination of a methodology in order to construct information systems related to GAAP. The intended process recorded GAAP in the format of an electronic text and is retrieved by the theoretical area. The research that is undertaken by Diatmika et al., (2016) assesses the inter organization impacts on accounting information system of the small businesses when the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is incorporated at the request of the renowned partners of trade. Understanding the Business Process in the organization In accordance to this scenario, GMAS has been incorporated in order to create a group of management accounting services that is outsourced and is constructed in order to satisfy the needs of the medium and the small scale businesses. Therefore, GMAS needs to make sure that the overall process is effective and clear. The exploitation of the information technology would in a precise manner raise the level of productivity. Prasad, Green (2015) have addressed that GMAS provides a collection of outsourced management accounting services, so the participants are inclusive of all the units during the process of accounting. Hence, in this case the applicants are the accounts receivable, collectors of debts, and department of accounting process, the clients, payroll department, compliance team, the management and the IT department. The present model of the business process is efficient and to the point. In a summary, when a client signs the agreement with GMAS, the system would be assessing. In the initial stage, the accounts receivable would receipt the consumer and compute the commission for the sales executive in accordance to the agreement and thereafter the payroll department would gather the data in order to recognise the salary of every individual employee. At the end, the accounting information process would obtain all the information and thereafter the IT department would publish a report that is dependent on the information of the management. The overall system is very clear and short. Problem Analysis of the organization In accordance to GMAS, there are two elements that might reduce the efficiency. In one of the aspects, the entire mechanism would be associated to a third party organization, who is the debt collector. It is a very general plan in order to outsource the businesses is non-core and then thereafter preserves the central business activities. Islam et al., (2017) explains that debt issues would have an impact on the wages of the salaries. The process of outsourcing the collection of debts to a third party organization would be helpful in assisting human resources of the organization in order to ensure that the human resource would concentrate on the pivotal businesses. Ismail, King (2014) cited that every organization have their own working flow when a new debt is forwarded to the debt collectors and they will assess the business in their own manner. This process is helpful in reducing the effectiveness of the service. However, Fitriati, Mulyani (2015) addressed that the accounting depa rtment would provide a report to the management on a monthly basis, which is a lower level of efficiency in order to administer the organization. Patel, (2015) explained that monthly and weekly statements would not be able to ascertain the relevance for the data and this would lower the efficiency. The incorrectness of the information would not provide the commission to the employee on time and they may have to wait for weeks or months in order to receive the commission. The developed business assessing framework has enhanced the utilisation of information technology and amended the issues related to debt. In a summary, when the consumer signs an agreement with GMAS, they would be assessing the technique. The accounts receivable would provide a receipt to the customers and compute the commission for representatives of sales in accordance to the agreement and additional steps would be taken if the applicant does not pay for the service. Bai et al., (2018) addressed that at the conclusion the accounting information system would gather the information and then the department of IT would publish a report that is on the basis of the information and this report is effective as they can directly gather the information from the database. The utilisation of the technology of database would be helpful in gathering the information at any course of time and this would effectively raise the efficiency of work.
